Christa Donald – Senior Residency Coordinator

Christa joined the Office of Surgical Education in February 2019, transferring from the Section of Acute and Critical Care Surgery, where she served as Education Coordinator. In her role there, she coordinated the Surgical Critical Care fellowship, as well as the section’s continuing medical education courses. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale in 2003. Prior to joining the University staff in 2013, Christa spent several years managing accredited CME programming at various organizations. When she’s not at work, Christa can be found planning Girl Scout camping trips, working on her first novel, or listening to the lastest Brene Brown podcast.
Maddie Hodous – Assistant Residency Coordinator

Maddie joined the Office of Surgical Education as Assistant Residency Coordinator for General Surgery in October 2022. She completed her education at the University of Southern Indiana, earning a BS in Health Administration in May 2021 and a Masters in Health Administration in August 2022. While completing her education, she held various roles throughout healthcare, including scheduling, training, and staffing the ER. Most recently, she served as the front office supervisor of the Obstetrical Associates practice at St. Luke’s Hospital in Chesterfield, Missouri. In her free time, Maddie enjoys sporadic adventures, hanging out with her family and friends, and spending time with her Labrador Retriever, Maui.
