The strong focus on education, the welcoming spirit of the people, and the broad exposure to complex surgical pathology.
What are your research interests?
Pediatric surgery, global surgery, health disparities and health equity, surgical education.
What do you like most about your fellow trainees?
They are all incredibly smart, motivated, and kind. They bring happiness and fun to all that we do.

Forest Park
What are your top 3 places to go in St. Louis?
Forest Park, Tower Grove farmer’s market, Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis.
Is there anything about St. Louis that surprised you?
There are so many great food options (including ice cream)! Also, activities are very accessible and most are free.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
Spending time with family and friends, swimming, reading, cooking, attending musical performances.
What do you do to check in with yourself and ensure your wellness is a priority?
Most days after work, I go for a swim and then spend quality time with my husband.
